The protective polyurethane jacket can be manufactured in a variety of colours ideal for identification purposes. For example a red hose signifies the fire hose, while a blue hose can be for wash-down. Companies sometimes like to blend their hose colour according to the colour scheme of the plant, or to reflect their corporate colours.Usually this hose is supplied in 30m lengths but longer lengths can be made up to 200m. This woven fire hose is made from polyester with a synthetic rubber lining. The exterior coating on the fire hose jacket is made from polyurethane, which is essential for protecting against chemical and abrasion damage.
