Description

FLOW METERS – ROTAMETERS

  • These flow meters (often referred to as rotameters) provide for a convenient, cost effective and reliable method of measuring flow rates of fluids instantaneously in pipelines.
  • Installed vertically in the line, the flow meter uses the principle of flow resistance against a specially designed and calibrated ‘floater’ which rises in the site glass proportionately with the volumetric flow rate (m3/hr or L/hr) of the fluid.
  • The site glass material can be either Trogamid for standard applications i.e.  water etc. or Polysulfon for corrosive or aggressive media.
  • The units are supplied complete with grey uPVC unions for solvent cement jointing and suit all Series 1 pressure pipe dimensions.
  • Can be supplied with optional magnetic switches fitted to the site glass for coupling to pump PID controllers (see diagram below)
    Calibrated  to: 1 Kg/L Density @ 20ºC, Stainless St. Floater. Rated to 10 Bar (1000kpa)
